Welcome Back

Hello, everyone! Welcome back to UEA Philosophy Society’s Spring Semester programme. We have an exciting array of events planned for you this semester – and our timetable is subjected to dynamic updates with all the latest information, so please check it out!

Before the Semester starts next week, the first of UEA Philosophy’s Philosophers at the Cinema events is taking place at Cinema City this Sunday afternoon. This series is on the subject of fear and begins with Henri-Georges Clouzot’s classic ‘The Wages of Fear’. More information can be found here.

Next week, we have our first two timetabled events of the Semester: our reading group on ‘Myth’ on Wednesday and our first guest speaker: Karyn Walker, who’ll be speaking to us about ‘Why Plato’s Republic would be just’ on Friday.

Additionally, on Tuesday – UEA Philosophy are hosting the first in their public lecture series on Apocalypses Now?Where one should find hope in the face of a deteriorating climate.
