Animal Ethics with Professor Gary Francione

February 14 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

In this session, we are delighted to be joined by Honorary Professor of Philosophy Gary Francione – who’ll be discussing animal ethics. As an advocate for vegan abolitionism, Professor Francione argues in favour of a complete dismantling of the numerous ways in which society uses animals and animal products. A veritable pioneer in his field, Prof. Francione’s work is a multifaceted engagement with philosophical questions concerning animal sentience, notions of animals as property, the animal rights/welfare distinction, to name but a few.

Please note that this session is taking place at 5pm.

As always, this event is open to everyone and will be followed directly by our annual symposium, details about which can be found here.

We hope to see you all there.
