Antonin Artaud and the Theatre of Cruelty
February 28 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
In this session, Philosophy Society Treasurer – Chloé D’Hondt – will be presenting on Antonin Artaud.
An avant garde French dramatist, Artaud was concerned with the use of theatre as a form of language superior to mere words through which man could be revealed to himself. An advocate for the theatre of cruelty, Artaud drew upon Nietzschean philosophy to frame his work.
