Philosophers at the Cinema: THE WAGES OF FEAR

January 14 @ 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Philosophers at the Cinema returns with a brand new season for the new year: FEAR! Opening the season is the acclaimed classic THE WAGES OF FEAR. In South America, four desperate European expats agree to drive two lorry-loads of nitro-glycerin across miles of rocky mountain tracks pitted with craters. Friendship gives way to financial greed and honour is replaced with a sweaty fear of sudden death. Featuring some of the tensest sequences ever committed to film, THE WAGES OF FEAR burrows relentlessly into humanity’s deepest fears.

THE WAGES OF FEAR is introduced by Dr Rupert Read, who will also chair a Q&A after the film.
